Camelot Lounge is proud to announce that it will be welcoming famed Israeli singer and peace activist Achinoam Nini, known internationally as ‘Noa’, as part of her debut Australian tour!
Noa is Israel’s leading international concert and recording artist, having shared the stage with superstars such as Sting, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli and many more.
Noa’s strongest influences come from the singer-songwriters of the 60s, such as Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen. These musical and lyrical sensibilities, combined with Noa’s Yemenite roots and Gil’s strong background in jazz have created Noa and Gil’s unique sound.
Noa plays percussion, guitar and piano and is both a dynamic performer and an amazing goodwill ambassador. She sings in six languages, has collaborated with Symphony Orchestras around the world, and performed in the world’s most prestigious venues, including the White House, the Vatican, Rome’s Colosseum and Carnegie Hall.
Simon Starr is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/composer/producer/tinker/tailor/soldier/spy, a social being, a father, a felon, a monk, an ape like bundle of nerve endings and ganglia; he loves to hear, and he hears to love. An elephant’s faith is 100%.
Playing the double bass and guitar while singing, and has released 12 albums of his own, and played on many many others. He has toured, performed and recorded with the famous, the infamous, and the completely unknown, all in the pursuit of connecting with sounds, space and people.
