The Nature Strip is riding high with the raves their new album Beetle Bones has attracted from hip blogs like Cool Dad and I Don’t Hear A Single. Sydney’s ace old-school pop combo returns to Django @ Cameot with something a bit different.
For this show they’ll pay tribute to an album that was formative for each of them – This Year’s Model, by Elvis Costello and the Attractions, released (it is difficult to fathom) 40 years ago in March 1978. Chock-full with power pop/new wave standards such as Pump It Up, I Don’t Want to Go To Chelsea and No Action, The Nature Strip will play the album in its entirety, preceded by a set of Nature Strip classics – Break Through, Waterfall, Shoes, Beautiful Rain and more. This promises to be a night of peerless tunage.
