The band had an almost unparalleled string of bona fide, genre defining hits in the late 60’s and early 70’s, at a time when popular music was evolving at an alarming rate. Their catalogue remains a statement of a unique and distinct mix of swampy country, rock, blues and pop.

To pay tribute to this iconic body of work, The Album Show has put together a killer band to play all the hits, featuring James Van Cooper on guitar and vocals, and Sophie Jones on guitar and vocals, with Sydney based Charlie Lee on bass, and Michael Carpenter on drums and vocals, live from Django @ Camelot.

The new music offers hope into the world and a celebration of new beginnings.

Featuring Kevin Bennett, Imogen Clark, Andrew Swift, Montgomery Church, Jeremy Edwards, Matt Fell and surprise guests.

Join triple ARIA award winning singer songwriter Shane Nicholson and friends as they celebrate the life of their friend and bandmate Glen Hannah.

“In what had become something of a tradition, every year I played a birthday show at Django to celebrate May 27. But since the passing of the industry’s very dear friend Glen “Goonga” Hannah in 2019, on that very date, I no longer celebrate my birthday on May 27. Instead, it’s become “Goonga Day”.

I felt the annual show should continue, but now in honour of our dearly-missed mate, and celebrated by some of the artists and friends he worked most closely with. A night to remember, honour, and celebrate Goonga. With a very special list of guests, something you won’t see anywhere else, all proceeds are going to the wonderful, and crucial, Support Act”

Session 2: 8:30pm – 10:30pm | Show 9:00pm (60-70 min)

For one night only, the Smooth Sailing Yacht Rock Party will take over Camelot Lounge for a celebration of everything yacht. Yacht rock was the music of the late 1970s and early 1980s that was the polar opposite of punk: think gentle singer-songwriter melodies, backed by session musicians playing some slowed-down disco funk. It’s music that, let’s face it, was completely daggy, but which you completely love anyway: think the likes of Michael McDonald, Toto, Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, Boz Scaggs and the Captain & Tennille.

The Smooth Sailing Yacht Rock Party features an crack 13-piece band, complete with horns and backing vocalists, featuring musicians who’ve played with the likes of Josh Pyke, Lazy Susan, The Lee & Nancy Experience, and Suzy & The Snakepit. Aside from playing some of the songs that got to the top of the Yachtest 100.

THE MOST FAMOUS BAND YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF: A TRIBUTE TO BIJELO DUGME @ Django

Session 2: 8:30pm – 10:30pm | Show 9:00pm (60-70 min)

More past members than Black Sabbath? A reunion show that sold more tickets than Led Zeppelin’s? Outranking Tina Turner, Paul McCartney and Frank Sinatra on the highest-ever-attended concerts list? Who are this band, and why have you never heard of them?

Its 1974, and a group of young punks dodging in and out from behind the iron curtain, play their way out from their base in Sarajevo. Producing their own debut album, they created not only music, but an entire genre that would grow around them. Political pressures forced their breakup on the eve of the war, but their reunion in 2005 saw them sell 220 000 tickets to a single show.

More than just a band, Bijelo Dugme – White Buttons – were a phenomenon rarely seen. Combining the coolest rock’n’roll of the 70’s with traditional folk music is not a task often attempted, and seldom mastered. Bijelo Dugme conquered it in a way nobody ever had, or ever will again. Beyond the glitter jackets, bellbottoms and outrageous moustaches, was music that has stood the test of time.

Tickets are limited to this surefire sellout show, so be quick to get yours!

Session 2: 8:30pm – 10:30pm | Show 9:00pm (60-70 min)

Bob Evans, the ARIA winning alter ego of Jebediah frontman Kevin Mitchell, has graced the Australian music scene for more than two decades and has written some of the country’s most beloved songs.

Under the alias of Bob Evans, Mitchell has released five studio albums, all of which showcase the versatility and skill of this talented songsmith. Gentle, acoustic melodies prevail, enveloping the classic folk storytelling and strong emotional pull that characterises Mitchells’ substantial body of work.

The ‘Tomorrowland’ national tour is in celebration of Bob Evans’ sixth studio album of the same name. Tomorrowland was spawned during one of the worst times for anyone, anywhere: the covid-cursed 2020, a period when initial recording was completed one day after all his gigs were cancelled, and two weeks before Kevin and everyone else in Victoria went into an agonisingly long lockdown. But the result is euphoric, sparkling – a luminescent rock record from an unstoppable songsmith.

BLOOM SINGS EVA CASSIDY SONGBOOK
Aug 5 all-day

6pm doors | 7pm show

Bloom returns with an intimate show dedicated to celebrating the incredible talents of Eva Cassidy.

Eva Cassidy was known for her powerful, sensitive, soulful voice and for her much loved interpretations of some of the world’s most iconic songs. Come and be charmed by the Australian vocal powerhouse that is Bloom to celebrate and remember Eva Cassidy.

Tragically Eva’s life was cut short at the age of 33. Two years later Cassidy’s music charted success worldwide.

Bloom is highly applauded as one of Australia’s greatest power vocalists in her own right and has already garnered international acclaim for her effortless soulful vocal resonance of power vocalists Adele & Amy Winehouse with her Adele & Amy Songbook tour and more recently a national tour performing the hits of her idols Stevie Nicks, Linda Ronstadt & Carole King.

Some of the hits Bloom has handpicked in this incredible new show honouring Eva Cassidy are “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, “Fields Of Gold”“Time After Time”, “Songbird” and many more.

The family that plays together, stays together.. and in the nutty world of The Pigs, family (and beer, and bluegrass) is all that matters.. and did I mention… you’re family too.
T-Bone, Stretch, Cousin Shamus, Cousin Bert & Cousin Montz (who plays Banjo of course), last name PIG, like to have fun and their music speaks to that… but also pokes much deeper.. life, love, heartache, Robot Goats even. Expect to be shocked by their dress & hear their many hits – even that one about Moisturiser.
Not sure yet? Ask a friend or look ‘em up.
