The Cope Street Parade are releasing their 5th album this December. Fresh of heels of a national tour, they are ready to fire for one night only at Camelot Lounge. Sparks are set to fly for this the final show of the year for the band.
The Parade are four young dynamic musicians who combine their love of traditional jazz with the energy and virtuosity of the 21st century.
Soaked in the spirit of the old bluesmen but with a lyrical style born of the internet age, Luke Escombe’s music is a compelling combination of tradition and subversion, offering an outsider perspective that is by turns compassionate, anarchic, political, poetic and funny.
If you’ve listened to any of the last three Cope St records you can hear Judy Bailey’s beautiful playing inserted as musical interludes between longer tunes. This is going to a fantastic addition to the night.
